Startups do not hire you to write React components. They hire you to stop the ship from sinking. If the problem requires fixing a server at 2 AM, you do it. If it requires calling 50 customers because the sales guy quit, you do it. Your job title is irrelevant.
The Asset
Velocity of Learning.
In a corporate job, you learn one narrow skill per year. In a startup, you age in dog years. One year here is worth three years elsewhere. You see the entire engine, not just one cog.
The Liability
Zero Stability.
There is no HR department. There is no training manual. The company might run out of cash in 6 months. If you need a syllabus to learn, you will drown here.

High Salary. 9-5 predictability. Clear instructions. Slow promotion cycles. You are a small part of a big machine.

There is no shame in the Corporate path. But do not enter a Startup expecting Corporate comfort.

How to enter.

Startups ignore resumes because resumes are past-tense. Startups live in the future tense.

To get in, you must use Permissionless Apprenticeship.
Do the work before you get the job. Audit their website. Fix a bug. Design a new feature. Send it to the founder.

Make it irrational for them to say no.
